Violarium's stitching weekend
Violarium organizes a stitching weekend in March 2009, from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th. Welcome to Finland to stitch!
The weekend is organized in a beautiful setting of Onnela, in Haukipudas, Finland. Haukipudas is situated 25 km from Oulu. We will begin our weekend on Friday evening and we will stitch until Sunday afternoon. In addition to your own cross stitch works in process we will have two projects to stitch, which will be taught by Lilian Kok from the Netherlands!
Stitching!
Lilian has been teaching many workshops in the Netherlands and we're very happy to welcome her to teach! Lilian will teach how to stitch and finish two projects during the weekend. The materials are included in the price and part of them will be sent to participants in January, so that it's possible to start stitching projects already at home. During the weekend we will concentrate on the tricky parts and finishing. Lilian will teach in English. Both Lilian and Leena from Violarium will be at Onnela for the whole weekend. Violarium boutique will also be open.
Full board in Onnela
The price includes full board at Onnela, that is meals and accommodation. Meals are served in Finnish style five times a day (breakfast, lunch, coffee, dinner and supper). Double rooms are cosily furnished and there's a shower and toilet in each room. Bed linen and towels are included and there's also a sauna at Onnela.
Onnela will be completely reserved for us for the whole weekend. We'll have a large stitching room with tables and chairs to use in the new building, built in 2007. The meals are served in an idyllic old main building. The main building and accommodation are close to each other in the same yard. Registration and price
The price for the weekend is 190 euros. This includes teaching, materials for the two projects and full board at Onnela (meals, accommodation for two nights, bed linen, towels and a possibility to go to sauna).
In order to registrate, please send e-mail to Violarium. There will be place for 26 stitchers, the places will be filled in order of registration. The first installment (30 euros) is due when registrating, the second installment (80 euros) by the end of January and the last one (80 euros) two weeks before the weekend in March. The registration is binding.

Welcome to this Violarium's first stitching weekend to enjoy the company of other stitchers! All you have to do is to stitch, stitch and stitch and walk across the yard to have meals. For further information please contact Leena at leena@violarium.com, we'll be happy to answer questions! We will help in organizing transportation from Oulu to Onnela when needed.
